Growing up in Hong Kong, a melting pot of Eastern and Western cultures, taught me to appreciate the beauty in contrasts: neon signs beside modern skyscrapers, street markets next to luxury malls. This is where my eye for aesthetics began.
While studying Education in my undergrad, I discovered the joy of making complex concepts accessible. Each lesson plan was a design challenge: understanding my users (students), their needs, and creating solutions.
Moreover, as I taught students from diverse economic backgrounds, I saw firsthand how technology could bridge social gaps. This was how I gravitated towards UX design.
Now pursuing a master's in HCI at Carnegie Mellon University, I am excited to explore opportunities where I can use design and technology to create positive social impact. I believe every small step can make a difference!
